(1) USE THE PUBLIC DATA FILE

Use the arrows below to navigate the steps.

Step 1
1. Upon login, you will find three sample data files pre-loaded into your dataset library. These instructions will replicate the dataset view provided in 3.0 DemoResponse with GeoTraits, demonstrating how to join zip code demographics with campaign data from the sample datasets.
Step 2
2. To begin working with the sample datasets provided, create a new View from the Create New Dataset drop-down.
Step 3
3. Name your dataset view (required) and add a description (optional).
Step 4
4. Define which dataset you would like to use as your incoming data source by clicking on Add Dataset. For this example, we will select 1.0 DemoResponse. (NOTE: Move to next step before clicking Done.)
Step 4
5. Click the Joins tab. Select the Dataset to Join, then select the variable that you would like to join on. For this example, we will select the 2.0 GeoTraits dataset, and the Zip variable from each dataset. (NOTE: Move to next step before clicking Save Changes.)
Step 4
6. Click the Variables tab. Select the variable(s) that you would like to include from each dataset. For this example, we chose all variables from the current dataset and a subset of variables from the to-be-joined dataset. Click Save Changes when finished.
Step 4
7. To process your new dataset view, select your dataset in the Available Datasets window and click Selected Dataset. Click Execute View > Execute Now, and confirm that you would like to create this view. You can monitor progress of your dataset in the console window.
